Happy Child Association is a nonprofit organization with main activity mediation in international adoptions. Happy Child Association was established on August 21, 2003 by people deeply involved in activities related to children left behind, including helping in finding loving families for these children.

The first license of Happy Child Association for mediation in international adoptions is issued by the Minister of Justice in 2004 and is with No.23 as of ​​ May 25, 2004. This license was renewed with a license No.84 as of June 28, 2006. The next license of Happy Child Association was issued by the Minister of Justice for a term of 5 years and is with No.113 as of March 15, 2010, active until May 15, 2015. The present license of Happy Child Association for mediation in international adoptions is issued by the Minister of Justice for a term of 5 years and is with No.158 as of May 11, 2015, valid until May 11, 2020.

Happy Child Association has the right to intermediate international adoptions for the following countries: United States of America, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, the Swiss Confederation, United Kingdom and the Federal Republic of Germany.

Happy Child Association is managed by a Board of Directors, which consists of three people. The Board of Directors and the employees of Happy Child Association are obliged to work in accordance with the Bulgarian and international adoptive laws, but above all in the best interests of the child.
